Our Community Involvement

In addition to serving your residential or commercial energy needs, the employees here at UGI Energy Services, LLC. work hard to make a meaningful impact in the lives of area citizens. For several years, we’ve had record-breaking pledges to United Way, which mobilizes the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good. Several of our employees volunteer as tutors for United Way’s “Ready. Set. Read!” Initiative, a program that brings together businesses, education institutions, and community organizations to improve literacy. We also participated in the Annual Berks TALKLINE Golf Bowl, which receives program funding from United Way.

UGIES has also taken part in several running events:

Keystone Wounded Warrior – Event benefits U.S. military personnel injured on or after 9/11/01.
Run for your Life! – Event benefits Community Volunteers in Medicine and East Whiteland Volunteer Fire Assn.
I-LEAD Charter School Race for Education – Proceeds of event to benefit the I-LEAD Charter School college scholarship fund.
Kyle Pagerly Memorial – Event supports the Kyle Pagerly Memorial Fund. Kyle Pagerly was a K-9 deputy of the Berks County Sheriff’s Department, who was killed in the line of duty.
Run4Sam – Event benefits both a scholarship in Sam Reed’s name as well as maintenance of the Union Canal trail at Gring’s Mill. The event is in honor and memory of Samuel Brooklyn Reed, a former Schuylkill Valley High School cross country runner whose life was taken September 1, 2007 by a hit and run, drunk driver while he was attending the University of Pittsburgh.
Marc McKently Memorial –Proceeds of the even benefit the Marc McKently Scholarship Fund at Oley Valley Community Education Foundation. Marc McKently was an Oley Valley High School senior who died in a car-truck crash.
Dr. Jeffrey F. Zackon Memorial Run– Proceeds of the event benefit the Oley Valley Community Education Foundation.
French Creek Dressage Association–Event benefits the FECA International Riding Team.
